Why won't Sirius receiver in my Nissan download the channels? I bought a *used, out of warranty* 2005 Nissan Murano SE AWD prewired for SAT with Sirius antenna and receiver. The Bose AM/FM/6-CD/Cassette/SAT works just fine, *except* for the SAT button. When pressed, it displays the ESN ID No., "Channel-000" if Scan is pressed, and "HIP HOP" if Program is pressed. That's ALL. It won't download channels or anything else.
I've tried to (re)activate with Sirius a dozen times with no luck. I hate to spend $$$ at the outrageously priced local Nissan dealership if all the Sirius receiver needs is a simple reset.
All I need is a schematic for a 2005 Murano with a Sirius receiver, a troubleshooting FAQ, or somebody who knows the answer. Any help is deeply appreciated, katykat
zcardoza25 replied: "I'm not an expert, but from my experience, we usually get the ESN error in two cases, 1) The attena is none operational, or not working correctly. To check this, switch to the emergency channel, if you arn't receiving the emergiency channel, than its the antenna. 2) If you can get that channel, it is most likely that the ESN has been reset in some way and needs to be reprogrammed, in which case you will need to call sirius."
2007 Nissan Murano? I just bought a 2007 Nissan Murano and I am doing some research on Sirius Radio...I was wondering if I buy the tuner and stuff if all the controls on my steering wheel will still work and if it will would with my screen
