jose o replied: "If you can't locate where all the screws on the door panel are, you might want to buy or borrow a Honda Civic service manual. The illustrations are accurate and can help you identify all the screw locations including the hidden ones and wire harnesses.
After you tear a hole through the plastic insulation once your panel has been removed, inspect the bottom of the window which sits on a metal horizontal bar. There may be 2 bolts holding the window down with 1 or both snapped off. If this is the case, you may need to buy a new window to replace your window with broken bottom tabs.
Good luck!"
How do I remove the door panel on a 2000 honda civic 4 door vp? The Front Drivers Side Window in my 2000 civic will not roll up and I want to remove the door panel so I can put the window back up. Does anyone know how to do it and do you have any pictures?

How do I remove my 2003 honda civic door panels? I want to install speakers but dnt know how to get it open
Scott H replied: "I've never seen the interior of an '03, but I'd guess it's like any other Honda I've seen. There's one phillips head screw in the bottom of the door handle, one under the door release handle, one on the bottom of the panel near the door jamb, and then a bunch of clips that will pop loose with a flat head screwdriver or a small pry bar. once the panel is loose, you'll need to reach behind it to disconnect the retainer clips keeping the rods to the locks and handle in place. VERY IMPORTANT!!! do not break those retainer clips or you won't be able to open or lock your doors from the inside! Next, unplug the control panel to the power locks/windows. Lift the panel up toward the window and it should pop right off. You can probably find a Haynes manual for your car at your local auto parts store. That will have detailed pics and drawings of what to do. Good Luck."
ZMorgan replied: "I have the LX Coupe and the panel came off like this: There are five screws; three in the arm and two under a plastic plate on the handle (you have to pry the plastic plate off to get at the screws). AFter you get the handle screws out, unclip the door handle from the metal bar being carefull not to break the clip (its fragile). In the arm rest, pry up the little plastic cover over a screw in the handle and remove. Pop off the [arm]rest from the panel starting near the back of the car and moving forward (the arm rest is in two pieces; to the rear a rubber piece, and a hard plastic piece where the auto window control is). After you pop the arm rest off, unplug the auto window from the hard plastic piece. There are two more screws to get at now. Once the screws are removed, start popping the panel off from the rear moving along the bottom. Once the sides and bottom are loose, lift up and away and the panel should come off."
How to remove door panel on 2001 Honda Civic? How hard is it to remove a door panel from an 01 Civic? Does anyone have any detailed instructions? The door handle is loose and is rubbing the paint. I dont want rust to form behind the handle. I am afraid the dealer would charge too much for this.
chrisItux replied: "the bolts that holds the door handles are loose you will have to open it up from inside the door --window handles are held in by a sping clip or an allen bolt (look under the handle and see if there is an recess if it does not have one it is an spring clip and look all over the inner panel for screws and take em out but watch out for hidden ones they are covered 1/2 inch round plastic covers that matches the surrounding area look for faint circle lines and pop them out with a small screwdriver once you make sure there is nothing left don't forget the inside door handle (look under it to find the holes) and gently pry off along the bottom and work your way up if you find something that would not want to come out stop and check for hidden screwcovers and when you reach to the top just lift the inner panel upward till it comes off from the metal lip of the door and make sure the window is in raised position look into the area of your door handles you should see 2 nuts and studs sticking out that is where you tighten up the nuts -- hope this helps and good luck"
How do you remove the front door panel on a 1998 4 door Honda civic? not sure how to remove arm rest
geezuskreyest replied: "IIRC, you'll have to remove the arm rest/handle used to close the door. Then you remove the open lever from the inside and maybe a door speaker if it has one. The panel itself is normally held on by plastic rivets that "pop" out when you pull the door panel away from the door. There may be other screws holding the panel on too, so don't go yanking on it. Take your time, remove all the screws, and pull gently, starting from the bottom or door jam area.
Most of the time you're going to break those rivets. Try to find a source for them before you pull the panel. There is also a panel puller tool to help with this. The cost for which may not be worth it if you're only doing this once."
jose o replied: "There are about 2 screws near the edge of the panel, 2 more underneath the panel, and one near the hinge. Before you lift and remove the panel, you will need to disconnect the power window wire harness, the power door wire harness, and the speaker wire connector. All of these are held by one or more screws.
Once you've removed the power window, power door, and speaker, disconnect the wires harnesses connected to these parts and begin to lift and remove the front door panel away from the door.
Good luck!"

Removing the back door panel of a 1997 Honda Civic EX? I have a 1997 Honda Civic EX and I'm trying to remove the door panel but I don't want to screw up can someone help?
Eric replied: "If you are removing the whole door simply open the door and unbolt the hinges from the door pillar.
Rest the door's bottom edge on something to support it's weight.
No worries, simple job."

Tripod. replied: "Not sure about honda but I've done this on my vw
just know that it all has to be held in there by something
wheather it be screws or clips
Look along the outside seemes (perimiter) and if you see a screw take it off. Sometimes there is a screw behind the door handle, not the actual on to pull the door open but the "oh shi+" handle on the door if there is one.
is something has a seem, if most likely can pop off and there will be a screw behind it
Your a smart guy, you need no instuctions
Just study it and unclip and unscrew and everthing should work out
also the locking pin.. up down when you lock.. that will be attached in some mannor"

Lemar J replied: "First, you buy the Chiltons or Haynes repair manual for your Honda.
Then you read the step-by-step instructions provided for removal and installation of your door panels.
Then you buy a 12 pack of Bud and get to it."
eg_303 replied: "Remove all of the screws from the handle then just pull it off it's just plastic inserts."
