Replacing 2004 Nissan Maxima SE headlight xenon bulb? Any info on replacing the xenon bulb? My owners manual says to remove the headlight assy to get to the bulb, but I can't figure out how to get the assy out of the car without doing damage to it.

zskip62 replied: "Unfortunately cars with xenon headlamps usually need to have that done by a professional,if you'll look at the area around the headlamp under the hood, you will see a warning label concerning the high voltage found with xenon headlamps"

nate_625 replied: "let a shop do it for you. It'll be cheaper than buying a new assembly!!"

97-99 Nissan Maxima Headlight problem, "Bulbs arent the problem"? I need some help, i replaced my bulbs with some new very bright bulbs in my headlight assembly. The problem is that now I realized that the bulbs arent the problem, at night they arent even bright, they are the same as the old ones. I know the bulbs arent the problem. Is it true that now I might need to replace the headlight lens or the whole headlight assembly because the inside lens is bad. Please help with this, thanks The outside doesnt seem hazed, does anyone know if the lens in front of the bulb might be the problem if so does the headlight assembly need to be replaced? (thanks C$sh Money for the added input) (thanks Ca$h Money for the added input)

Ca$h Money replied: "well some more info will help like what is wrong with the lense if you are talkign about hazed headlight's then its on the outside"

skam replied: "I KNOW! BUY A NEW CAR GET DA 350Z SINCE U LIKE NISSAN"

baldie replied: "if your headlights are hazed, it has to be on the outside, they dont haze on the inside. get some of that stuff that restores the headlights, auto zone carries it, i saw it the other day."

2006 Nissan Maxima Headlight Replacement? I have to replace the headlight in my 06 Maxima but really need help. It is a non-xenon bulb, and I have a part number (262969B913). The owners manual shows bulb #9012 though. So, when I search for it, I find all sorts of different prices, but dealer says 62. First, can I only buy it from Nissan?? Second, is it one bulb or two in there? Third, is this something that can be done at home or has to go to the dealership?

Robert D replied: "your lucky its not the Xenon..those would cost you around 100 bucks for two bulbs.. i would go to nissan to have it done, or go to a larger car shop..not jiffy lube.. go to NAPA or autozone and tell them you need a bulb for 06 maxima, non xenon..they will give you the right one. hope this helps."

headlight issue on a 2001 Nissan Maxima, they keep going out on the right headlight unit.? okay, so i ordered a pair of halo projectors for my 2001 Nissan maxima, when installed everything was working fine EXCEPT when my low beam was on, the high beam indicator in my dash would be on. the High Beam indicator would also be on when i turn my high beams on. (so whenever either my lo or high beam is on, the light in the dash indicates that my bright lights are on) when i turn the headlights off or leave the parking lights on, the indicator turns off (which is right), and then after about 3 weeks after the installation, the right headlight stopped working! i tried to replace the bulbs and it was not the bulb that was blown. so i decided to order another pair of the same headlights, i installed it, and everything was fine again for the first 2-3 weeks, and now I'm having the same issue. my right headlight is not working, AGAIN. the parking lights and turn signal both work but the hi beam and lo beam do not work on the right headlight. if anybody can provide any help it would be greatly appreciated.

sleepydo replied: "sound like you have wiring issue. I would check if somehow when low beam are on so are high beam that is why your dash light is on. that is alsoo too hot inside headlight and cuz it to premature burn out. I would disconnect everythng and wire one item at a time eg low beam first then check everythign including dash then wire high beam. get yourself cheap 12v test light."
