jumbobret replied: "Ebay"

s2hdetail replied: "Go to belknapsubaru.com and click on parts then cotact us.They may be able to help.Or call the 800 number and ask for parts."

what do you think of the import Subaru forester wrx sti? hi. there is a import you can get of the suaru forester wrx sti. it has all the body kit and despite being a SUV still goes from 0-60mph faster the the impreza. go on google images and search SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI and have a look at the pictures of the ones with all the spoilers and big wheels and air vents. write what you think of it

Accident Man replied: "I work all over the UK, from Scotland to Portsmouth, and I see these kids with their powerful cars everyday (I work nights). If the truth be told, they are either too old and should know better, or too young and need adult guidance. Yep, another powerful car is just what we need. Carry on the good work, fool."

Flip replied: "I believe that it is a nice car. Personally, I would buy it. I have a Subaru Legacy and I can say that Subaru's are nice little cars to have. Especially an STi. If you know what you're doing, you can fix a Subaru up to make a really nice car and it will last for awhile too."

koolaid replied: "It is perfect if you have a family! I was stationed in Japan and I had WRX impreza. I loved it. The Forester has alot of room and is quite fast for an SUV. The only flaw I find with Subaru's are working on them. Most of the parts are all dealship only items. but if you have the time and money it is well worth it. strong boxer engines!"

Stephen R replied: "there is no such thing as a subaru forester wrx sti, its called a forester 2.5i which has the sti motor.... its just an sti engine in a forester... thats about it"

is there any subaru forester sti's out there ? i need to know for the usa ive seen the right hand drive ones in japan and they are nice i work for subaru and am trying to find one for over here so did anyone import one to the usa

lastnightinmyhead replied: "In Japan, yep..."

bluevr6streak replied: "I've heard a story from a car dealer friend of mine that someone bought a Forester and built it into an STi and was putting over 400hp to the ground. Not sure where the dude lives but it would be a cool build to see."

towbusiness replied: "If I had it my way there would be one in my garage. I have a 93 RHD Subaru legacy so I guess I can't complain."

usyoso replied: "A friend has a black MY06 in Sydney; personal import from Japan. Only 10k on it and its for sale."

kat1216@sbcglobal.net replied: "yup"

desdinova415 replied: "I get Drive Performance from Subaru because I'm a Subaru owner. Apparently they delivered 2 Forester Sports 2.5 XT models to a performance shop in Costa Mesa, CA and took one and tricked the hell out of it and showed it at the SEMA show in November 2006. From the article, it said they had recieved tons of inqiuries and while they had NO plans to bring them over from Japan, that they were monitoring feedback."

Subaru Legacy GT-B Vs Subaru Forester GT vs Legacy B4? I currently own a '94 Legacy GT (Twin Turbo) and am looking to upgrade to another Subaru. I have also owned a '95 WRX STi in the past so I'm a Suby boi at heart hence why i wanna stick with 'em! =) I'm contemplating on getting either a Subaru Legacy GT-B or Legacy B4 which are basically the same exept B4 is Sedan version, or the Subaru Forester GT or T/Tb (both Turbo versions). Out of the above (GT-B - B4 - Forester) Which ones would you guys recommend and why? Thanks! =) NOTE: I am living in New Zealand so cars may differ in names and engine variations in other country's? All car's mentioned (In NZ) come out with the 2.0L Turbocharged EJ20 Boxer engines.

subirex replied: "kiora, if you want a constant boost on demand then get a forester, as these have single turbo and way faster then the twin turbos. but if you want luxury and hook up chicks then a b4 will be good. these have lower boost compared to foresters and secondary turbo doesn't kick in untill you reach 5000 rpm. and if you have a family and do heaps of shopping and travelling around than get a gt-b. the power output is the same as the b4 cheers"

I have a 1999 Subaru completely stock. I was wondering if i could buy after market STI parts and put them on? I thinking about upgrading the engine as well as the exhaust. i was wondering if Forester and STI parts would work in conjunction and not cause any problems. I have a 1999 Subaru Forester

I <3 my Suby. replied: "You can swap pretty much any WRX or STI engine and tranny into your car but you'll need to completely rewire it too. You need to use the ECU from the engine so every piece of electronics will have to be wired into the new ECU. Some people can do this but it's very pricey to have done. If you just want some basic parts to bolt on to your car, there are not many parts from the US STI's that will fit on your car."

Mo N replied: "STI parts to 1999 Subaru Forester may be tricky; because you have to make sure what engine you have (DOHC, I assumed). If so, swapping out the engine won't cause too much problem. But if you have the newly 1999/2000 SOHC 2.5 Engine (I only see few so far), you may run into the fitment problem. Other then that, if you are not thinking the turbo engine (or twin turbo engine), then don't waste money to make the heavy forester to run. A car will 4000 lbs of weight and swap out with a turbo 280 hps may worth it....other than that, forget about the sti items."

PRS ♥ Thace 4EVER replied: "STI parts are interchangeable around the range, however I wouldn't recommend it unless its just a fun "project" because if it goes to pieces, its going to be baddddd...however the forester is basically an over sized Impreza so you shouldnt have to many troubles."

Subaru plastic side molding on what models? I have seen a couple really nice Subaru 4 doors driving around my town but I can't figure out what they are. They look like the Subaru Impreza STi but they have the plastic side molding and earth tones that instantly tell you they're Subarus. They have the wind spoilers and a really tight body and I want one. Does anybody have a clue what year these cars are? I could swear I read forester on the back of one but my mom drives a forester and you could probably fit this car inside hers. Anybody?

2 replied: "2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT"

trainiax replied: "The 2008 Legacy GT does not have earth-tone molding, it is not smaller than the Forester, and it does not look like an Impreza STI. Lower body side cladding is indicative of an Outback or Forester, and the only Subaru model so-equipped that's notably smaller than the Forester is the Impreza Outback Sport. It's a variant of the Impreza wagon/hatchback. The 1st and 2nd generations are very similar visually, while the 3rd generation is a smaller hatchback."

HeY there i currently have a 2000 subaru forester 79v myoo GT (turbo) now iv blown the gear box in it? First Quest dose any1 no were i can get a service manual 4 it cause they don't seam 2 make 1.. and also can any1 help me 2 identify the box (Trans type. bazzamon2 replied: "Any Suby gearbox will physically fit but the gear ratios will only suit the particular car..even down to the year as well. So youll have to find a gt forester myoo gearbox."

Megan G replied: "There are quite a few forums n things around. Yesterday I was searching for a wiring diagram for 03 XT, and it gave me everything. Only thing is, it was on my work computer so i cant look it up n give it to you now. As for parts. I was hunting down an original stereo, the only guy who had one was sun spares in QLD. Good luck."

Are there any major considerations to make before buying a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX/STi sedan? I'm looking into buying one, sort of as a daily driver but also doing a little racing on the local sunday circuits and the amateur rally series. (I already drive the 2.5XT Forester- LOVE the car!) Is the 2004 a bad year in any way? Are there any performance modifications you can recommend? And the final question- is the STi worth the extra cash, or, since I'm planning on putting $8,000 into performance modifications over time, is the WRX a suitable replacement?

Mary C replied: "Go to and search the forums."

I <3 my Suby. replied: "The STI comes with a much stronger 6-speed transmission, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, higher flowing heads and cams, stiffer suspension, and Brembo brakes. Difference is worth way more than $8000. Biggest thing to consider when purchasing either is to check insurance costs. For some drivers. insuring a WRX/STI can be more expensive than their car payment."

GeneWeen replied: "Don't forget the extra cost of the tickets when driving the STi! I will tell you from my experience the cops have no sympathy for you when you are in that thing. Great car, just wish there weren't so many idiots driving them!"

tim replied: "The sti is worth the extra cash if you have it. The 2004 is a good year also. First thing I recommend is a turbo back exhaust and the ap tuner from perrin. They sell it for the same price with 2 extra tunes for more power included."

turbo on a 2003 forester X? I have a 2003 subaru forester 2.5 X and was wondering if there are any turbo's designed or usable for this car. All turbo's i have seen are for later models or the wrx or sti

I <3 my Suby. replied: "Check out Rallitek.com. They are a vendor for AVO who makes bolton turbo kits for the N/A EJ25 but know that you really cant push a lot of boost with the stock motor. Very different motor than the Forester XT motor."
