Recently I travelled in a volvo bus from Chennai to Nagercoil with a lady. My experiences are as follow:-? Though the bus journey was good, the wayside so called 'motels', particularly near "Vikravaandi" and then between Kovilpatti&Saatoor(of Virudunagar Dist) is worst to be mentioned. Actually stinking with urine smell outside of the motels & totally uncleanlininess inside. But the buses usually operating in these routes only stop at these 'motels'(may be for free meals&other benefits offered by these motel owners to drivers&conductors). We had no other way, except to take 'some' eatables in these 'motels',but on exorbitant rates(for instance a biscuit pack MRP Rd.5/- sold there for Rs.8/-, cool drink MRP Rs.10/- sold there at Rs.15/-, one mineral water bottle 1 lit MRP Rs.12/- sold there @ Rs.15/-, etc). Moreover ladies using the toilet in these motels have to pay Rs.5/-, whereas gents can 'do' it in 'open'. I found it 'disgracious'. I want to know the comments from my co -Yahoo answerers.And Is there any way to check these kind of operation of these 'motels'?

asimboral replied: "I appreciate your views on travel and tourism .This is acute problem in every state .No body bothered about hyginic tourism particularly the concern Authorities .If you travel on GT road at UP and Bihar circle then you can feel to travelling to hell .The only route I find some kind of hygine are maintained is Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Udaipur-Ajmir-Jaipur -Delhi Road journey coz you can find lot of top quality resting places by corporates like Relience . I think your point is the most valuable if Gov ,Corporates want to develop India a most favoured tourist destination and at least 80 % hygenic conditions are addressed to .Well done Mr Bull .I fully andorse your points"

Surely, one day(within one year because i need some time to settle in my personal life), i will take the actions very seriously against this type of issues. Are they think we dont have sixth sense?also, the next issue is hygyenic,we Indians dont have any alert in this. Actor Madhavan told in one interview that if i have a power to change anything then my first option will be for indian toilets! I dont think we have to blame bus drivers for choosing that place! You itself answered why they choosing that place! This things happen Not only in that place but also everywhere in TAMILNADU even in chennai main bus junction they asked more money than m.r.p.I DONT KNOW WHICH MINISTER have to take care for this! Is there no department actively working for consumers in TAMILNADU? My answers would be a big yes! Its not the matter of two or three rupees,but it could lead to depreciation.a danger for country's growth rate."
