Can a 94' Nissan Pick Up Hardbody 4x4 be converted from AT to MT? will the Transfercase from AT work in MT? I know I need all the parts from a MT truck, like Clutch Cylinder, Clutch pedal, lines. etc mainly wondering about the transefer case between AT AND MT. Thanks

Al replied: "You can but it won't worth the trouble and lots of money. It will be better to just sell the AT truck and buy yourself a truck with MT."

Nissan hardbody Nock/Tapping noise under the hood? i have a 94 nissan hardbody with 116000 mi. and it has just started to make a nock/tapping noise under the hood and i was wondering if some would could tell me what the poblem is and how to fix it? thank you

cporterfield20062 replied: "that could be a million possible things... take it to a mechanic and get them to check ur engine out, could be ur rockers, push rods, like i said, list goes on forever"

stallion1948_lloyd replied: "its probably your lifters needs adjusted"

DB Cash replied: "If you are mechanically inclined you can take off the valve cover and adjust the lifters with a socket wrench until it goes away. They have a nut that you can tighten that adjusts the tension. You won't have to move it much so don't go nuts on it. I can remember sitting under the hood of my old Chevy and doing that. It worked. By the way, the engine has to be running. The worst that can happen is that you have to put on a new gasket and start back at the beginning."

How to install Tweeters? I have a 94 nissan hardbody truck and i have everthing already expect for tweeters....i want to install 4 of them....do i run the wire to the amp or radio? and what kind of wire do i need to buy and how much its goin to cost?

Anthony F replied: "sounds like you should have just run Component speakers. there several ways you could do it. you could run them off the head unit, leaving the amp for your other speakers or you could run them all off the amp, or you could just jump the tweeters off the speaker at the door"

Are these Headlights the same? I have order some 9004 lightblubs on ebay and i found out that some H6054 that might fit my truck.....which one is the right one. i have a 94 nissan hardbody plus i need to find out what size is my headlights becuase i want to put some aftermarket headlight where can i find some different lookin headlights...not bulbs?

Copenhagen ring replied: "ever heard of something called a local parts store? to hell with ebay support your local shop even if it means paying more. and then you know you're getting the right stuff instead of playing guess and check."

evo741hpr3 replied: "Most peoples local parts store is nothing more than a chain store no different than wal-mart. The days of "support your local mom and pop shop" are long gone. Your year model came with two different types of headlamps.. If you have sealed beam headlamps you need H6054 replacements. These replace the entire lamp including the lens since it is all one unit. If you have a plug in the back of the light and you can take the bulb out of the headlight... then you need the 9004 bulbs. If you are stuck with the H6054 headlights you can get projector replacements on ebay for less than the standard replacement bulbs that will allow you to use 9004 bulbs in the future."

I want to paint the underbody? i have a 94 nissan hardbody and i want to know what kind of paint to use to paint the underneth of it....like the transmission, stocks, frame, and etc....and what kind of steps to take so i dont get any paint on the truck

UCANTCME replied: "The customers of my that have hot rods all use griot's paint and it looks very nice and as for pre prep.......I would steam clean the undercarriage completely using just regular soap and water but don't use the car wash soap and water because it leaves an oily film on the car and the paint will not stick as well.........."

Will it leave a mark on my truck? i have a 94 nissan hardbody and i was thinkin about taking the factory strips off the side of my truck.....after i take the strips off will it leave a darker mark or a lighter mark on the side of my truck

train86 replied: "it would probably leave a darker mark underneath them because of sun bleaching to the rest of the paint on the truck."

bandit_60 replied: "it will show where you took it off. it probably be darker because the other paint will be faded some."

photou2 replied: "yes it will leave a mark, you will be able to see just where the strips were and you may make out the entire outline of strip, have them removed by a body shop so they can repaint after removal"

Nick replied: "Yes it will leave a mark, however a body shop is not necessary. take it off with a heat gun or a pinstripe remover wheel. once that is done, it will most likely leave some fresher paint underneath. This is a simple matter of buffing it out (you can pick up a cheap buffer at a local auto parts store). Also while you're at the parts store pick up some turtle wax buffing compound. If that doesnt take away the fade completely, there may be another step further you can go. It depends on the color of your truck, but if you have black, red, or green in any shade, pick up some turtle wax color magic. It really helps with oxidation and blends color back to its original hue. Hope this helps."
