About Mitsubishi Radio Adapter in Q&A
98 Mitsubishi eclipse radio power adapter?? hi i have a 98 mitsubishi eclipse. I'm trying to install an aftermarket radio in it. I got the old radio out etc. I bought a kit. I bought a harness for it. Then when i plug in the antenna into the radio , I saw that there is a similar wire like it but smaller than the antenna wire. I was wondering what it was and where it goes to. I heard it was the power and its true because no power goes the the radio when i connect everything but that wire. So, i was wondering where do i plug that wire in or do i need an adapter or something , and how?... If i do can i have a link or web or instructions.. Thanks

Perhaps things are different with the one versus the other. Maybe give them a call and say you want to order the harness (I know you already have one) but then ask about the extra wire. Maybe they can identify."
KaeZoo replied: "That plug has nothing to do with the power. It's just a second antenna connection for the original "diversity" Mitsubishi antenna system. The reason that the radio doesn't work without an antenna connection is that you don't have a ground wire connected: the factory radio was grounded through the metal mounting brackets. The new deck is just grounding through the antenna wire.
First of all, connect the new head unit's ground wire to a metal brace in the dash. The small antenna connection doesn't need to be used at all; just tape it up out of the way."
Mitsubishi Endeavor ipod adapter for stock radio... but no aux button? Ok so I found a kit that allows for an auxillary jack to be hooked up to my factory 2004 Endeavor radio, but it says it plays through the aux button... which my car doesn't have for some ridiculous reason.
So is there a way to make this work?
Also, there is a separate factory one, here:
So how would this work? Someone who knows Mitsubishis please help =(
ralliartpr replied: "Keep pressing the CD button for about 3 to 4 seconds and the radio will change to aux."
